My memory of Rosa is she was always at Alex’s games or school activities and school masses. She always told me that if I couldn’t be at an event, she would cheer my child as if he were hers. And she did that for every child. I think we were all her children no matter our age. She took all of us under her wing. Sandy and Alex, Rosa will be remembered as the grand lady she was and what an example of how to live a full life. I am thankful I was able to know Rosa and she will be remembered as a wonderful, welcoming mother/grandmother to all of us.

Rosa loved people. I had Steve and Robert in my first grade class at Hintgen. Rosa had a recipe for a special small cake she would bake and bring to the teachers. After my retirement whenever our paths crossed it wass time to visit. Numerous times she invited me to join her and others for morning coffee at Mc Donalds. Rosa was very special!!!

I was so sorry to hear of Rosa’s passing. My sympathies to the family. I knew Rosa from McDonalds and had many conversations with her about anything and everything - her life in Italy - her children and grandchildren and her great grandchildren. And so many many people coming into McDonalds knew her and everyone stopped to visit with her. I will miss seeing her smiling face when I go there - and she always always had a smile on her face.

I've worked at McDonald's on Losey boulevard for 11 years now and I met Rosa, shortly after I started there. And it was like we were friends from the beginning. If she was there when I was on my break, I'd go sit with her and we would talk, and after work if she was there, she called me over him. I'd sit with her for a 1/2 hour or longer talking. It was really nice getting to know her. She was a very wonderful lady. I'll always remember her.

Oh I am so sorry to hear of Rosa's passing. I took care of her for many, many years but she was a friend as well as a patient. We shared ancestry from northeastern Italy. When my mother in law was in town, she translated Italian letters for her and they shared stories about Italy and growing up there. She was so proud of her Italy, her town and house. She LOVED her family as the obituary said; and was a fan of her grandchildren and great grandchildren's sport games even in to her 90's sitting on the sideline, commenting on their play, and making friends with the other families and fans. She loved making friends. . .just go out with her for coffee and you learned how many people knew and loved her. She was generous and loving and one of a kind. She had strong opinions and wasn't shy about sharing them, but didn't hold it against you if you disagreed with her. She was so interested in the world, and active on Facebook until recently. As your writing says, she was a force of her own! I will miss her dearly and send thoughts to all of you who were blessed to be loved by her in this time of sadness.

Rosa was a special friend that I met while working at the Village Festival Foods. We would go to lunch or coffee and she would regale me with stories of her life and her family. I was shocked and saddened to learn of her passing, but I know she is with Jesus. She was one amazing lady that I was proud to call a friend. I will surely miss her. My deepest sympathies to the family.
