Condolences for Doris Ann Kotek

To all the family of Doris Kotek, her children Jeff,Jim, John, Julie, and Jerry whom I have many memories as a childvisiting on the farm. Your family has brought much joy into my life. Your mother and father always so welcoming and made life fun and an adventure. Your mother made people feel good about themselves.She always saw the good in people. Doris Will be truly missed and remembered with Love.

To Jeff and his siblings: thanks for the memories. Many people's influence help make us who we are! Jesus died for all and with him as our Savior we will meet again!

My mom and Doris were friends since childhood and remained friends for life. I pray they are meeting again. Our families visited so many times over the years. Lots of memories. Doris Kotek, local author and historical preservationist, has left a lasting legacy to the village and township of Bangor. Her recent books preserve important primary sources on Bangor's history ranging from the Bangor Independent, our local newspaper, to historical photos and letters. Many of her own writings captured the spirit of growing up in the farm community near Bangor. May you rest in peace, Doris!
