Condolences for Kurt T. Knutson
My sincere heartfelt condolences Renee. Kurt was a good friend to many people. He will be missed. He was a genuine person who was easy to like. Always looked forward to seeing him in the morning for our recycling pickups. A good decent man.

My prayers and condolences to Renee, the family, and everyone who knew this amazing man. I moved to La Crosse in 96 for my first job out of college at the brewery. I met Kurt and we had an instant connection. Then he introduced me to Pat, and I had two new best friends (continue to think about them that way). I was only there until 2003, because I wanted to get my two daughters (born there) closer to their grandparents. In those few years, here's a few memories.
Kurt and Renee were one of the first to visit when both daughters were born.
Called in his first turkey he ever harvested.
With Pat and I walking the bluffs, Kurt shoots 2 bucks on a leisurely stroll on top of the hill.
Hanging those same two bucks on the tree in his front yard. He was so proud.
Dinners, cookouts, parties.
Duck hunting at Buffalo City.
Duck hunting in ND.
Trip to Cedar Lake Lodge in Canada. To this day, never seen anybody but Kurt real in a rock.
Helping with house renovations.
Snowshoeing with my daughters the first time down there.
Your cigars.
Calling you every Christmas morning for a while after I moved away.
Your spotlight...in downtown La Crosse and in the marsh.
Taking me to my first and only Badger FB game.
Stopping to get the "Garbage Platter" breakfast on the way to Packers games.
Finally, showing up out of the blue to see you and Renee last summer when I was in the area.
Godspeed Sir. You'll forever be in my heart. Best friends always are.
From Mike (aka Band-Aid as Kurt used to call me)
Renee, Keith, and family - I'm so sorry for your loss.
Kurt - Thank you for the 40 years of being a great friend and mentor to me. Four decades of belly busting laughs and the countless great experiences we shared together.
My life is way better because you were in it. I know of many others that can say the same. You are in my heart forever. Hat's off to you sir.
