Obituary for Donald J. Harman Sr.

He was born on October 12, 1930 in Milwaukee to Lester and Marian Harman. He attended UW-Madison Law School graduating in 1960. Don married Barbara McFadden while in the Army. They eventually settled in La Crosse where he practiced law for over 40 years. He is survived by 4 children: Kathy, April, Donald Jr. (Kimberly), Michael (Trish), 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He was a member of the Elk's and Lion's Clubs and served on the La Crosse County Board. He loved to hunt, paint, play the piano and do wood working. He was a resident at Mulder's Health Care for 2 years and was known as “Cowboy Don” by the residents and staff.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am., Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Mary, Mother of the Church, 2006 Weston Street, La Crosse, WI. Father Brian Konopa will officiate. Visitation at the church is at 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
