Obituary for Rosalind Lee "Ros" Krajewski

Rosalind "Ros" Lee Krajewski passed away peacefully Wednesday October 16th at Gundersen Health System with her family by her side.

Ros was born December 15, 1943, to Robert and Jane (Nelson) Rossing in Argyle WI. Ros married Randy Wold and together they raised and loved 3 wonderful sons, John, Lars and Erik on their farm in Brownsville Minnesota. Ros was a wonderful mother, who raised 3 smart, compassionate and loving sons. Ros married the love of her life, Larry Krajewski November 29, 1997. For 27 years they made their home together in La Crosse, WI.

Ros always wanted to have a little girl, and she got them in her 3 granddaughters, Sarah, Heather and Hannah. She was later blessed with 2 great granddaughters, Peyton and Lucy. The love of Grandma Ros was unconditional, and she taught each to be the tender, compassionate, loving, forgiving humans they are today. Ros would always tell them she loved them to infinity and beyond or whisper in their ear, “Oh my sweet girl, how I love you so.” You could see the pride and the love she had for her Grandchildren in her eyes whenever she would talk about or see them.

Ros’ second love after her family was reading and teaching. Ros taught at several schools including Freeburg Elementary in Minnesota where she taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grades in a two-room schoolhouse. The time she spent at the West Salem School District as their Reading Specialist was her most treasured experience. She touched the lives of many students and teachers from Freeburg Elementary to Viterbo University to the West Salem School District. She loved to read to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Books came to life when Ros would read to them.

Ros is survived and forever missed by her husband, Larry Krajewski of La Crosse; sons, John (Cheryl) Wold of Brownsville, and Erik (Cindy) Wold of Brownsville, her three beautiful granddaughters, Sarah (Steve) DuBois of La Crescent, Heather Wold of Brownsville, and Hannah Wold of La Crosse; two beautiful great-granddaughters, Peyton DuBois and Lucy Wold; and step-son, Scott Krajewski.

Ros was preceded in death by her son, Lars Wold; husband, Randy Wold; sister, Margaret Larson; brother, Donald Rossing; and her parents, Robert and Jane Rossing.

Per Ros’ wishes, no funeral services will be held.

Sit with me in the quiet and you will know that I did not leave. There is no leaving when one soul is blended with another. When I go don’t learn to live without me Just look for me in the moments I will be there."
