Obituary for Raymond “Deke” Hagen
He was born July 19th, 1935 in Caledonia to Alvin and Alta (Vraa) Hagen. On June 21st, 1958, he married the love of his life, Shirley (Rud) Hagen. He was a man of many trades; including construction, logging, and mechanics. He loved fishing, ginseng hunting, morel mushroom hunting, rattlesnake hunting, WWE wrestling, Judge Judy, and day old bakery goodies.
Survivors include two sons, David (Julie) and Ronald (Karen). Also left to cherish his memories are his six grandsons, Tory, Shawn, Dalton, Traeton, Shane, and Eli; and three great-grandsons, Heath, Kaden, and Jensen; his sister, Gloria, and brother, Donnie as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his infant daughter that died at birth, Deke was preceded in death by his parents; seven sisters; and two brothers.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 7th, 2024, at 4 PM at Fredrickson Funeral Home, Caledonia Chapel, 518 West Main St. Reverend Steven E. Meyer will officiate. A visitation will be from 2 PM until the time of service. Following the memorial service, a celebration of life will continue at Elsie‘s bar and Grill in Caledonia.
