
Obituary for Mary Jo Sanchez

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary Jo Sanchez (Amann), who left us on November 5, 2024, at the age of 80.
Mary was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin and was the beloved daughter of Aubrey Amann and Harriet Amann Terry.
Mary Jo was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord Jesus and was actively involved in her church community. She shared her beautiful voice as a member of the Coulee Region Gospel Choir for many years.
Mary was also a talented hairdresser, dedicating over 50 years to her craft, bringing joy and confidence to countless clients.
Known for her generosity, Mary Jo touched the lives of many through her kindness and compassion.
Mary Jo is survived by her sisters Susan (Warren) McCurdy, Clair Amanno and her beloved Buddy, her feline companion of over 3 years. Mary was blessed with five loving children: Jane Snider, David (Stacey) Post, Audra (Brian) Bloom, Jonathan Post, and Stephanie (Eric) Forsyth. Mary is also a proud grandmother to: Jeremy (Melodie), Joshua, Chelsea (Zak), Jordan (Hannah), Tyler, Josiah, Ryan, Kara, Meridith, Hunter, Marie, Lilly, Katie (Alex), Miranda (Andrew) and Lily.
Mary’s blessings continued with her 12 great-grandchildren: Aaron, Cameron, and Lincoln, Marlo, Thorin, Aidyn, Liam, Joey, Eleanor Mae, Braxton, Oliver, Owen and was so excited to learn that another Baby Olson was on the way.
Friends and family are invited to join us in celebration of Mary Jo’s life and the love she shared with all.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Church located at 3936 County Road B, La Crosse.
