Obituary for Norman J. Raisbeck

Norman Raisbeck passed away on Sunday, February 9th at the age 89. He was born on November 27, 1935 in Beetown, WI. to Toay and Margarite (Clifton) Raisbeck. He married Carol Hager on July 1, 1956 at the Marine Corp Chapel in San Diego, CA. Norman served in the Marine Corp, receiving a gun salute sendoff at his memorial service.

Norman was also known as "Lucky", a nickname Carol gave him, telling him he was "lucky" to have her. And lucky he was, to be married to the love of his life for 63 years, raising a family of 10 children together.

Norman was a hard working devoted family man, who always had time for someone needing a helping hand. He was friendly to whomever he met, effortlessly striking up conversations with strangers. He loved to travel, sightsee, spend time outdoors, and work on cars. He was an avid Packer fan, and country music lover.

Even after retiring from John Deere, Norman continued to work various jobs including selling cars, working security, driving, and always doing projects around the home.

Norman left behind a family of 10 children, 22 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great- great grandchild. He will be greatly missed by his (9) daughters: Sharon, Linda, Barbara, Brenda, Diane, Pamela, Michelle, Lisa, and Jill, and his son, Thomas.

He was preceded in death by his wife Carol (Hager) Raisbeck, parents, and one brother Raymond (Julie) Raisbeck.

Norman's family would like to give a special thank you to those caregivers who took such good care of him.
