Obituary for Nancy Hauser

Nancy was born on May 14, 1953, in Caledonia, Minnesota. She grew up in her hometown and graduated from Caledonia High School. Throughout her life, Nancy worked at several local businesses, including ABLE & The VFW, but she was most recently retired from managing the Quillin’s Deli. Her hard-working nature, and sharp wit made her a beloved part of the Caledonia community.
Nancy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She cherished every moment with her son, Lucas, his wife Danielle, and her three grandchildren [Elleia, Benton, Lyllian]. Being a grandma was a great joy of her life. She poured her heart into that role with love, pride, and laughter. Whether it was a simple afternoon together or a special occasion, her grandchildren were a bright light in her world, and she never missed an opportunity to spend time with them. Nancy also treasured the company of her close friends, especially enjoying going to the movies and dinners out at local restaurants filled with good food and conversation. She was an exceptional cook—her meals were always made with warmth and comfort, and was also up for trying new recipes.
Independent, strong, and unapologetically honest, Nancy had a gift for saying exactly what everyone else was thinking—often with a perfectly timed joke or sly grin. Her bold spirit, and sense of humor, made her unforgettable. She held a special place in the hearts of many, proudly wearing the title of “Favorite Aunt”.
Nancy is survived by her son, Lucas (Danielle); her grandchildren [Elleia, Benton, and Lyllian]; her siblings, Sheryl (Tim) Bissen, John (Mary) Hauser, and Linda (Gary) Conway; brother-in-law, Steve Halverson; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Celia Hauser; her brother, David Hauser; and her sister, Mary Halverson.
Nancy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday May 16, 2025, at Fredrickson Funeral Home, 518 W. Main Street in Caledonia.
