Obituary for Larry Rodenberg

He was born on March 19, 1945, to Wilfred and Marie Rodenberg. He was raised in Mindoro and then the family moved to La Crosse. Larry was a 1963 graduate of Central High School.
He held several positions during his career; his first job was with Wolf Machine Shop in Prairie du Chien and then Gishlot in Madison. Larry had also been employed at a co-op where he initially hauled fertilizer then petroleum; he was one of four drivers who had driven a fuel truck in the Madison/Sun Prairie area.
He married Ruby Pulham in 1968 and they had two sons, Stacy and Joseph. Ruby passed away in 2008 and Joe passed away in 2023.
Larry married Diana Mikkelson in 2011. Larry had a strong faith and was a proud member of the Christ Evangelical Church of West Salem.
Larry had the ability to make people he had encountered feel very special. He loved to socialize and to make people laugh. Larry enjoyed cooking, travelling, and reading westerns.
Thank you to the Mayo Health ICU care team for providing comfort to Larry during his final moments and also to the dialysis team.
A memorial service will be held at 12 noon, May 30, 2025, at Christ Ev. Lutheran Church, 500 Park St., West Salem. Rev. Don Frelitz will officiate. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m., until the time of service, May 30th, at the church.
