Obituary for Harvey Cecil Miller

He was born September 19, 1947, in Black Earth, Wis., to James and Lorna (Krueger) Miller. Harvey grew up on the family farm and graduated from Wisconsin Heights High School.
He married Sandra Sue Snodgrass in 1965, and they later divorced.
For many years, Harvey worked at Norplex in La Crosse while also working construction, part-time. Home building became Harvey's full-time career as owner of Harvey Miller Construction. Always known to be a hard worker, he took pride in the homes he built; and passed his vast knowledge and carpentry skills to his sons, who carry on the construction trade.
Harvey married Alice Oines in 2003, and together they enjoyed road trips, visiting friends and family, and several Phillips Bus Tours around the US. He especially looked forward to his annual trip to Sturgis with his brother, Harold.
Harvey eventually left construction work and turned in his hammer; but, kept busy with yard work, various jobs, and helping out wherever needed.
Nostalgia for his home farm led him to collecting, fabricating, and selling scale-model farm equipment toys. Harvey loved travelling to various toy shows and meeting and chatting with other vendors and farm toy enthusiasts. He was always ready with a smile and loved to chat with everyone he ran into.
Survivors include his loving wife, Alice; his children, Dwain (Sally) Miller, Harvey Jr. (Lisa) Miller, Suzanne (Frank) Incaprero, James (Amber) Miller, and Brenda (Sara) Miller; bonus children, Lonnie (Laura) Oines, Joel (Diane) Oines, and Renee Anderson (friend, Jason Weidholz); 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Harold Miller (friend, Mary Nelson); many special cousins, nieces, and nephews; and his special dog "Rosie" who proudly performed the cute tricks he taught her.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lorna and his brother, Earl (Jeannie).
