
Obituary for Kim A. Hesselberg

Kim Ann Bedessem was born on January 14th, 1955, in Onaway, Michigan to Oscar A. and Mary L. Bedessem.
Kim attended Bangor schools, graduating class of 1973. She married David H. Hesselberg on April 15th, 1973, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bangor. Together they had 3 children, Hope (Tom) Brennan, Nickolaus (Jennifer Robinson) and Benjamin Hesselberg.
Kim attended nursing school at Western Wisconsin Technical College. She was a devoted night shift nurse at Mulder Health Care in West Salem beginning her career in 1971. She provided nursing care until her recent illness prevented her from caring for others.
Kim loved to travel with friends and took her immediate family on a yearly cruise. Something she always looked forward to. Kim found a love for football when her boys played in high school, this led her to travel all over to watch the Packers play. She loved spending time on her land in Northern Wisconsin, her and her dog, Bella would head “North” to her cabin whenever they could.
Kim is survived by her children, Grandchildren, Tommy (Mackenzie), Garrett and Karlei (Cody Petersen) Brennan. Anthony, Jade and Tristen Robinson. She is also survived by her sisters, Ruth Ann Bauer and Di Ann Bedessem. A Brother in law, Dale Hesselberg and two sisters in law, Julie Kamla and Jody (Steve) Kotek, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David, his parents, Hugh and Mildred Hesselberg, and sister in law Jeanne Hesselberg.
The family would like to thank the staff at Emplify Healthcare (Gundersen) 6th floor Oncology unit for the wonderful care she received during her short stay. The Emplify Hospice nursing staff for their care and support . As well as a special Thank you, to her friend Lyn Johnson and sisters Di Ann and Ruth for all the care and love bestowed upon mom in her final days. Thank you to all family and friends for your love and support.
Per Kim’s wishes, there will not be any services. There will be a private burial at the Rockland cemetery. Anyone who would like to pay their respects may do so at the Whales Mill Pub & Bistro downtown Bangor on Sunday September 7th, 2025 from 3-6pm. Please wear your Packer apparel in memory of Kim. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
