Obituary for Jennifer Lynn Huwald

Born with a heart for others, Jennifer devoted her life to serving those in need and uplifting everyone around her. She worked with grace and dedication at organizations such as Chileda, Opportunity Partners, and Riverfront, where she served as a coordinator, project manager, and caregiver to individuals with disabilities. Her work reflected her deep compassion and unwavering belief that every person deserves kindness, dignity, and hope.
Jennifer’s greatest joy was her family and her faith. She was a devoted mother to her children—Persia Glenn, Amirah Barrett, Roosevelt Wright, Emmanuel Wright, and Azariah Wright—and she now rejoins her beloved daughter, Alexia Huwald, in heaven.
She is also survived by her parents, Kurt Stone and Wendi Johnson; her brother, Dustin Krueger; many half-brothers and half-sisters; numerous aunts and uncles; and extended family through both birth and adoption. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alexia Huwald, and her grandparents, Darlene and Dwayne Lunde, and Judy and Greg Peterson.
Active in her church, Jennifer shared her faith freely and worked tirelessly with those struggling with addiction and homelessness, encouraging them toward spiritual renewal and hope. Her life was a testament to compassion, faith, and perseverance.
A memorial service in Jennifer’s honor was held at La Crosse Christian Church in La Crosse, Wisconsin, where family and friends gathered to remember her life of faith and compassion. Both sides of the family came together in a heartfelt celebration of her life, sharing stories, love, and gratitude for the time they were blessed to have with her. Though her time on earth was far too brief, Jennifer’s spirit continues to shine through the many lives she touched and the love she so freely gave.
