Obituary for Edna Joy Anderson


Born on June 6, 1935, Edna Parker-Anderson left this world to be with Jesus on January 25, 2026. Edna was born in the Township of Stark, in Vernon County, Wisconsin. Edna is the eldest daughter of Mable and Earl Parker. The family lived in various places in the LaFarge and Viola area. Edna received her Eighth Grade Diploma from LaFarge Public Schools in May of 1950. In her teens, Edna moved with her family to Bangor, WI. She graduated from Bangor High School in 1954.

On February 7, 1965, she married Stanley Anderson and had two sons, Larry and Brian. Edna worked both at home and outside of the home. She used to do a lot of sewing and made many of her own clothes. She worked at the Village Inn, of Bangor, for many years. Stanley passed away in early 1982 leaving Edna to make a home for and care for her family. Edna made a career change and finished her working days at Northern Engraving of West Salem. She also met Clifford Maas and formed a lasting partnership until his passing in September of 2025. Her final days were spent at the Benedictine Manor in LaCrosse.

Edna is survived by sons Larry and Brian (Tammy) Anderson of Sparta, and granddaughter Brianna Anderson of Wind Lake, WI. Edna is preceded in death by twin brothers Larry and Laverne, husband Stanley, parents Earl and Mable, sister Darlene and beloved partner Cliff.
