Obituary for Rebecca Laura "Becky" Schmitz

She was born May 10, 1975, in the State of Washington, to Francis and Judith (McKenzie) Schmitz. Becky is a graduate of Central High School in La Crosse. She was employed at Great Lakes Cheese in La Crosse for 25 years. She was a member of Mississippi Mayhem for a number of years.

Survivors include her father, Francis Schmitz of La Crosse; her brother, Joel (Linda) Schmitz of San Antonio, Texas; one niece, Jenna Schmitz of San Antonio, Texas; and aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

In addition to her maternal and paternal grandparents, Becky was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Schmitz, who passed away last June.

A brief funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 8, 2026, at Fredrickson Funeral Home, Woodruff Chapel, 4239 Mormon Coulee Rd., La Crosse. Burial will follow in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be from 9:00 a.m., until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
