A man of many talents, Johnny knew how to play the piano and spent much of his time watching the news this stay connected to the world around him. He was also known for his quick wit and famously requesting a “quarter cup of orange juice” just to test his family’s math skills. He was a man of great affection who loved the word “babe,” using it often for those he held dear. He had a lifelong love for trains and road trip trips across the USA always searching for a new place to enjoy a juicy steak or prime rib. At home, he cherished time with his family and his “doggy” Brynlee.

“God saw that he was tired, a cure was not to be so he put his arms around him and whispered, “come with me.” With tearful eyes we watched him and saw him pass away. Although our hearts were breaking, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest; God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best.”

Our husband, dad, and grandpa meant the world to us and we will miss him every day.

We also want to give a special thanks to the bright star nurses/caregivers (Sarita and Cully) as well as Avenna nurse, Dawn. We appreciate everything you did for him and so did he!
