Obituary for Doris A. Loeffler

Doris Anne Loeffler

March 6, 1961 – September 7, 2026

Doris Anne Loeffler, 65, of Caledonia, MN, passed away on September 7, 2026, at Emplify by Gundersen Health in La Crosse, WI. She was born on March 6, 1961, to Arden, Sr. and Mary Irene (Tony) Krueger.

Doris was so proud of her family and cherished every moment spent with them — especially holding her grandchildren, singing songs with them, and reading them stories. Time spent with her friends was also very dear to her.

Doris found joy in the simple things: her "hens and chickens" rock gardens, working in her yard, cooking, baking, and entertaining for family. She was known for her legendary scotcheroos, taco dip and homemade pizza. In her downtime, you could find her fishing on the Mississippi, reliving her softball glory days, rattling off a former student's lunch number from memory, or perfecting her "best batch yet" of potato salad. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, strength, sense of humor, and the big hugs she gave generously and often — always given straight from her heart.

She is survived by her spouse, Wayne H. Myhre; sons, Andy (Katie) Loeffler, Eric (Nina) Loeffler, Kevin (Jen) Loeffler, Craig (Katelyn) Loeffler, Wayne R. (Megan) Myhre, and Jeremy (Danielle) Myhre; 13 grandchildren, Stella, Margot, Cadence, August, Tyler, Mia, Jett, Lily, Cruz, Blake, William, Owen, and Leah; sisters, Kate (Tom) Ranzenberger and Donna (Jeff Drietz) Krueger; mother-in-law, Harriet Myhre; and in-laws, Diane Schulze, Tina DeMartini, Theresa (Jeff) Krueger, Karen (Mark) Schiltz, Dennis (Heidi) Myhre, and Deb (Brad) Augedahl. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Arden Krueger Jr.; sister, Karen Nelson; father-in-law, Robert E. Myhre; and brother-in-law, Robert G. Myhre.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 18, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Four Seasons Community Center, 900 N. Kingston St., Caledonia, MN. A short service will be held Saturday, September 19, at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Freeburg, MN. A Celebration of Life will follow at Four Seasons from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.

The family warmly welcomes everyone to join them in celebrating her life and sharing memories. All are welcome, whether or not they are able to attend the visitation or funeral service.
