Obituary for Arlan J. Gilbertson
Arlan John Gilbertson, 93, of West Salem, passed away surrounded by his family on September 22, 2026, at Springbrook Assisted Living in Onalaska; 6 hours short of his 94th birthday.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 395 N. Leonard St., West Salem. Pastor Jonathan and Pastor Jean Schmidt will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in Neshonoc Cemetery. Family and friends are invited back to the church for refreshments and a time of fellowship immediately following the burial.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m., until the time of service, Tuesday, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, West Salem Historical Society, the Bangor Scholarship Fund, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
