Condolences for Francis "Frex" Furlano

My Dad was Butch the breadman/I use to help him on his route when I was a kid/the Furlano Family took over the grocery business from Carter and Cohn and it became Furlano's IGA/not a nicer family on the plant/Frex was the meatman and Arlene ran the store if memory serves me right/Dad had route 14 for years before taking a city route in La Crosse/he said the thing he missed most were the people/Furlano Family I am sorry for your loss/as I grew up I to missed the people on that route/they always had a smile and kind word before the BS started/there are people you meet in your life that truly make a difference and Frex was one of those people!

We all appreciate and honor the life and service that Frex brought to the community, his family and his faith. We value and recognize the impact he has had on each of us. He truly had the “heart of a servant!”

Frex was such a wonderful man. We will be forever grateful that we had the pleasure of knowing him. Our hearts go out to Arla & the whole Furlano family. Cherish the love that you shared. Deepest sympathies to you all.

Frex was truly one of the most thoughtful and kind people I have met in my life. As one of Rose Kimball's grandchildren, I have had the incredible good fortune to be part of the Furlano family and have enjoyed being around all of my great-uncles and great-aunts. My children were able to experience this first-hand as well when my youngest needed to have Pinewood Derby cars cut for Cub Scouts in Frex's workshop. Frex remembered my children at every family gathering after that and made it a point to talk to them. The handmade wooden cross he gave me on one of those visits hangs in a place of honor in my house. My thoughts & prayers are with Arla and the entire family.
