Condolences for Randolph "Rusty" Opland
Rusty's family,
I am sorry to hear the passing of Rusty. I remember Rusty from years ago. He would stop at Coney Island for lunch and talk about what was going on in the area.
I lost touch with Rusty over the years but my boys told me that he and his daughter stopped at the Holmen Coney Island. I tried to get in touch with Rusty but had no luck.
May his memory be eternal.

We Loved Rusty and Bernice like second parents. Back about 10 years ago when we found out the Opland family were distant relatives of ours, We got in touch and they welcome us with open arms. The kids still talk about visiting the farm and the fun they had there. Keeping in touch was a very special time for us. Their presence will be deeply missed. Our heartfelt Condolences go out to the whole Opland family. Until we meet again Rusty, We Love You!

Sure will miss those 3-5 phone calls every week. One of the best men I have ever known. If I was down I would be perked up after our talks. Barb and I had a good time when we visited Rusty and Bernice. Wish we could have done it more often. He will be missed by both of us. Have you ever met someone that you have just liked from the first time you met them, I did.
The community lost a very good man.
Condolences to the whole family.
Rusty and Bernice will be watching OVER there farm now.

We are so sorry about your loss of your dad, but we will always have many fond memories of him and your mother. He would come to the Yakima Valley to visit, but after a couple of days, he was ready to go home. He always worried about the farm. My mom's fondest memory was attending Karen and Mike's wedding. It reminded her of how a community could be so close together. All she would talk about was all the good friends that showed up, and an entire barbecued pig. She was also impressed with the farm, and how it had managed to stay in the family, and she is still very happy that it has been passed to future generations. As God has blessed your parents with many years of happiness, may he Bless All of you Also!
