Condolences for James R. "Jim" Quinn

Jan, my heartfelt condolences to you, your children and grandchildren. I was privileged to have Jim as a friend for over 75 years. He was someone you could always count on to help or confide in, and always knowing he had your back. From being teammates in high school, 2yrs rooming together when furthering our education, joining the Army on the same day, bowling on the same team for over 24yrs, being in each others wedding parties(met/married one of Jan`s attendants). After retirement, we roomed together on the many baseball tours we took for many years. We never had an argument, only conflict we had, was who got to pay when we would meet for lunch, Jim never had short arms. I treasure our last conversation, he was a man of his word and I will always miss him.

So sad to hear of Jim's passing. I also worked at Trane and knew Jim only through Trane's horseshoe league. My husband and I played in the league 2-3 years and met Jim this way. What a gem of a man ... always so kind. Sending prayers for peace and comfort to his family.

Jan and family..Please, know you all are in my thoughts,love and prayers. My heart is very sad of this news, but I realize how lucky I was to have some very special moments knowing Jim. He was a kind,caring loving man that loved his family and his Jan very deeply. I certainly was very blessed when I moved back to Wisconsin and had Jim & Jan as my next door neighbors. I always enjoyed visiting with them and taking them treats when I baked goodies. They were the best...the sweetest couple I've ever met. I also, had worked at Trane Company in the Engineering building when Jim worked there.

So sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. Condolences to Janice and family. Jim was such a nice guy to be around both at Trane and Good Shepherd.

Janice & family: Jim was loved SO much! An absolutely beautiful obituary that described Jim perfectly. As a fellow member of Good Shepherd, my family & I benefitted from Jim's caring soul. My husband, Larry, especially, who was also a fellow Northsider. He'll be greeting Jim in heaven with arms open wide! Know that we treasure the memories & hold you all close in our prayers.
