Condolences for Larry E. Harper

My grandfather was a quiet man, and I loved him dearly. I remember when he substituted for West Salem Elementary School when I was in kindergarten.

To the family of Larry, Our sympathies to you on the passing of your dad. Mr. Harper subbed for us at Irving Pertzsch Elementary School and was adored by the kids. I enjoyed visiting with your dad when he'd come to our school. Thank you for sharing him with us! May you feel the presence of God during this time.

Larry was always one of my best competitors while we sold meat items to Fleming and individual stores. He was a great guy to work with when resetting stores and always willing to lend a helping hand. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your dad. I got to know him when he was a substitute teacher in the Holmen school district. I enjoyed how he didn’t just come in to get a job done, but also came into each substitute position by getting to know his co-workers. He was a good person who was respected by staff and students. Know that he will be missed by many, but he leaves good memories behind.
