Condolences for Craig Alan Breitsprecher

I first met Craig on the Onalaska Plan Commission. His intellect, sincerity, courage, and common sense was inspirational. Craig also supported my son's Eagle Scout project on Fort McCoy. His guidance and contribution of time was crucial to its completion. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations and his willingness to act as a mentor. Craig, you were a tremendous witness to what it means to be a public servant and a patriotic citizen. You are missed.

Dear Trisha and Tracey and all the grandchildren, The first time I met Craig was when Trisha was in labor with William at the hospital in LaCrosse. The whole time he talked about his little girls that had grown up so fast and were now having children of their own. It was clear that he enjoyed the time together while you were growing up in Chatfield and he was proud of you both. It is always hard to lose a parent and grandparent. But you haven't lost him--he is a part of you (his children and grandchildren) forever. May you cherish his memory and the time you had together. Honor him by living the kind of life he would want you to live.

It was lovely to see the photo of Craig looking handsome & healthy & happy. That was my experience of him-friendly, interesting, cordial, easy to be with. Please hold onto the joy and caring he brought into your lives. Rest In Peace, Craig.

Ah, Craig, you were a very special man...smart (so smart), kind and caring. You will be missed by many and thought about often. Every time I hear "It is what it is", I will smile and think of you :). I will miss you, my friend, fly free with the angels!
