Condolences for Bernice E. Opland
We met Bernice and the Opland family many years ago through Ancestry.com as Rusty is related. So we visited a few times at family reunions, and Ida & Bernice "hit it off". She used to tell us that Ida was like a sister. They called each other almost daily and they shared the blessings and hardships of the day as well as many stories. She loved her family and her many friend,s and it was a joy to talk with her. One of the kindest, gentlest and most charitable woman one could ever meet.
We think of her alot and miss her immensely. We'll remember hearing "my Heavenly days" when she heard something unusual or noteworthy. Good bye Bernice. Although you're no longer physically present, you will always be remembered and present in our hearts. We'll keep you in our prayers just as God will keep you in His. RIP.
From Fred & Ida
Bernice and Rusty are our long lost family. When we found out my husband's last name should have been Opland, we got in contact with Bernice. She was so happy to welcome us with open arms into the family and into her home. We flew from California and she hosted our family of 4 to stay at the farm. It felt like home, because of Bernice. We connected instantly with our Norwegian heritage and she was so happy to share all of our family history and photos. Bernice was one of the most kindest, generous, welcoming people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She will always be in our hearts and greatly missed! Until we see her again, Love you Bernice

I had known Bernice for SO many years. I first knew her at the Black Oak Inn. She was such a joy and a friend as most of the people back then were. I miss her hugs and her smile! Usually with a menu in her hands. I got to dance with her and she laughed when I got to Karaoke there. I will miss her deeply. G'nite Nice....Te Amo

While working at Mel-Min Schools, I always loved seeing Bernice's smiling face as she came to deliver something for the grandkids or pick up one who wasn't feeling well.
She was a ray of sunshine in my day.

Our Heavenly Father has called Bernice home. For those of us left behind there is much sadness, along with a profound sense of loss.
This beautiful lady will be missed by all of us so much. Her smile, her laughter, and her kindness and her caring personality will be missed by her husband Rusty and her children, as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
I know that Bernice is being welcomed home this very day into her new Heavenly home. So yes, there are tears and much sadness for those of us who are saying goodbye, but we all know that we will meet again very soon. God Bless you and keep you, Bernice.
