Obituary for Sarah K. Quall

Sarah Christine Quall, 48, of La Crosse, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021. She was born June 21, 1972 in La Crosse to Jane (Tracey) and David Quall. She also has a brother Seth. Sarah graduated from La Crosse Central before spending time at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Sarah worked in the Black River School System and also at Riverfront in La Crosse. Sarah and her partner Wayne Matter, and their son Sam David, live in La Crosse. Sarah also loved Wayne's twins, Liam and Skyler, as part of their family. Sarah enjoyed PBS and radio, gardening and flowers. She also loved cooking and baking, especially for others. After her Mom passed away she regularly cooked for her Dad. She also loved her cats and their Jack Russell, Charlie. Sarah is survived by Wayne, Sam, Dave, Liam, Skyler and Seth, a large extended family and many friends. She considered being Sam's Mom the thrill of a lifetime. Losing Sarah leaves a hole in the hearts of all that shared their lives with her. Remember each day is a gift. We need to show love, compassion and understanding to those that need us. Wayne would like to thank the staff at Gundersen Lutheran Health Systems, La Crosse. An outdoor celebration of her life is being planned for June, pending Covid-19 restrictions being lifted or reduced. They will be announced. Memorials in her name may be directed to St. Claire's Mission or New Horizons. Sarah, you know how I always loved you-we were much alike and we had our differences, but somehow we always had each others back. Missing you deeply. Wayne
