Obituary for Donald G. Faulhaber
Donald G. Faulhaber, 88, of La Crosse and formerly of Omaha, NE. passed away Friday, February 12, 2021, with his wife by his side, after a courageous battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born December 2, 1932 at home in Omaha to Harry T. and Genevieve G. (Miller) Faulhaber. He graduated from Omaha Technical High School in 1951. It was there he took classes in Printing, a career he excelled at his entire working life. He married Janet Shaylor on September 28, 1952. To this union a child Debra Sue Faulhaber was born. They later divorced. In February 1953 he began serving his country in the United States Army, serving in Korea immediately following the Armistice. On October 22, 1955 he married Carol E. Abbey. To this union two daughters were born, Diana and Denise. Diana preceded him in death having lived only 39 hours. Carol also preceded him in death in June 2003. He then married Ruth (Palutke) Finch, January 11, 2004. Donald is survived by his wife, two daughters, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Burial services will take place in Omaha, NE. at a later date. Services will be announced jointly by Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Homes and Crematory, Woodruff Chapel, La Crosse and Westlawn/Hillcrest Funeral Home, Omaha, NE.
