Obituary for F. David Wolf


F. David Wolf, 79 of Bangor, Wis., passed away peacefully on May 21, 2021. He was born to Cecil and Margaret (Knudson) Wolf on March 27, 1942. He graduated in 1960 from Bangor High School and attended farm short course at the University of Madison. He married his first love, Dianne Marie Miller, on August 20, 1966. They celebrated 47 years of marriage before the Lord took her in 2014. They bought and operated the Wolfway Farm from Dave’s parents. Dave was very civic, farm and family oriented, and served on the Holstein Association, the Ag Society board, Sparta Co-op Oil Company, was a charter member of the Bangor Lions Club and lifetime 4H leader. He loved his John Deere equipment, large and small. He also collected trains and had a toy room in the basement to play in, even though he said it was for the kids. On June 10, 2017, Dave married his second love, Karen (McClintock) Schaller. They moved into the village of Bangor, but he would still commute to the farm daily. They enjoyed traveling to Canada, Dollywood, Branson and the Bahama’s. They met many friends along the way. Dave is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Mark (Tatiana) Wolf; daughter, Melissa Wolf (fiance, Jeff Anderson); step-son, Lynn Schaller; grandchildren, Isaiah Murphy, Kennedy, Vivica, and Bianca Wolf, Dylan Lyons, and Payton (Jon) Feyen; great-grandchildren, Jasper and Genevieve Feyen; and one brother, George Wolf. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Dianne; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Wolf. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 29, 2021, at the Presbyterian Church of West Salem, 625 Franklin St. West Salem. Burial will be held at the Fairview Cemetery in Bangor. A visitation from 4:00 p.m., until 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 28, 2021, and again from 10:00 am until time of service, Saturday, at the church. Covid restrictions apply; please wear face mask and observe the 6 foot distance rule at the church.
