Obituary for Darlene M. "Dolly" Jae

The family of Darlene M. “Dolly” Jae, 76, of La Crosse, WI is saddened to announce her peaceful passing on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. She was born July 11, 1944 in La Crosse, WI to Robert and Emma Brush. She was married and divorced and blessed with four children. She liked puzzles, fishing with family, scrabble, watching old movies and dancing. Her hobbies included computer games, drinking diet Mountain Dew, ceramics, collecting teddy bears and crocheting afghans. Her courageous and adventurous side took her on the road to many new journeys. She will be forever missed by family and friends as she takes her final journey to her heavenly home. Darlene is survived by her four children: Dean Larson of La Crosse, WI, Dawn (Doug) Stephans of Holland, MI, Denise (Dominick) Bulone of South Mills, NC and the youngest son, who was her loving caregiver for many years, Duane Neau of La Crosse, WI; 6 grandchildren, Ryan (Kimber) Stephans, Greg Stephans, Kaleigh Bulone, Jordyn Bulone, Domenico Bulone and Dalton Neau; 2 great grandchildren, Maddox and Jace Stephans; 5 siblings, Dan (Tande) Brush of Palm Desert, CA, Debra (Keith) Harter of Trempealeau, WI, Dennis (Billie Sue) Brush of Trempealeau, WI; Darrell Brush of Ettrick, WI and Dale Brush of Taylor, WI; 10 nieces and nephews; 20 great nieces and nephews; and lots of cousins. She was preceeded in death by her parents and one nephew, Alex. At Darlene’s request there will be no service held. The Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Home. Woodruff Chapel, La Crosse is assisting the family. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the hospice team for their care and compassion.
