Obituary for Laurine H. Solberg
Laurine H. Solberg, 96, of Bangor formerly of Brice Prairie, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021, at RBI-Caring Hearts in Bangor.
She was born August 1, 1924, on the home farm in Burns Valley, rural Bangor, to Gustave and Hulda (Jandt) Berg. Laurine was baptized, confirmed, and married her husband, Harley Solberg, all at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Bangor.
Survivors include two adopted children, Susan Genosky and Paul Solberg; granddaughter, Amanda Awsumb and her children; step-granddaughter, Megan Johnson; two sisters, Vivian Havens and Marcella Richmond; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Berg; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Laurine was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers; four sisters; one sister-in-law; five brothers-in-law; two nephews, Michael Havens and Bruce Richmond; two nieces, Myrna Cichoski and Nancy Collins; and one great-niece, Dawn Havens.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 12, 2021, at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Bangor. Rev. Brock Groth will officiate. Burial will follow in Burns Cemetery, rural Bangor. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m., until the time of service, Monday, at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Bangor.
