Obituary for David L. Zarwell

David L. Zarwell, Eitzen, passed away December 10 at his home from complications related to ALS. Dave was born September 22, 1949, to Floyd and Malita (Staggemeyer) Zarwell. He spent many long hard days, nights and years as a truck driver. When retirement came, he started woodworking. Many family members and friends have beautiful treasures he made for them. On September 4, 2009, Dave and Carol Paus were married at The Little Brown Church. Dave is survived by his wife, Carol; sons, Jason (Alisha) and Steven (Kelley); granddaughters, Kaela (Dakota) Zarwell and Sadie Zarwell; one sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Gary Hofer; step-children, Tim (Charlene) Paus and Courtney Paus; and step-grandchildren, Kelby Paus (Shelby), Keely Paus, Kendra Paus, Keira Paus, Drew and Darian Thompson, and Brittany Baker. We express heartfelt thanks to Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care and help. A special thank you to Tina and Amber for excellent care. A celebration of life will be held at the Eitzen Community Center on January 22, 2022 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mayo Clinic ALS research, The ALS Association, or Heartland Hospice.
