Obituary for Neal Jerry Turner

Neal Jerry Turner, 58, of LaCrosse and formerly of the Rochester area passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at the home of his niece, after a lengthy illness. Neal was born March 20, 1963, in Lake City, MN to Lloyd Sr. and Claudia (Mansmith) Turner. Neal worked various jobs in the farming industry from raising hogs to milking cows. He built grain bins for many years before having to stop due to his health. Neal loved spending time with his family, camping, watching westerns, riding motorcycles, and hotrods. Neal is survived by four children, Jeremy Behnken (Amanda Kane), Nicole (Brandon) Glomski, Ashley (David Brandenburg), and JennieLynne (Marcus) Meldahl; 10 grandchildren, Dakota and Mariah Glomski, Alexandria and Carter Behnken, Erik Vagt, Ian and Isabella Meldahl, Leland and Colby Lowery, and Keyshella Turner; two brothers, Donnie (Pearlann) Mansmith and Brian Turner; sister-in-law, Lori Turner; as well as many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lloyd "Pete" Turner. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022, at 1:00pm at Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Home, Woodruff Chapel, 4239 Mormon Coulee Rd., La Crosse. A visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of service.
