Obituary for Stephen Charles Ikert
He grew up in Rockland, WI. He attended Rockland Grade School and graduated from Bangor High School in 1964. He entered the Army in 1968 and served in Vietnam as a Medical Specialist First Class. While on duty there, he received the Bronze Star for an act of heroism. He worked at many different jobs throughout his life.
He is survived by his sisters, Sheryl (Roger) Smith of Holmen, and Robbyn (Dennis) Hatz of Bangor; two brothers, Jeffrey (Lynette) Ikert of Bangor, and Tom (Brian Schewe) Ikert of Milwaukee; nieces and nephews, Mike Smith and Melissa (Steve) Clarke, Will and A.J., Ben (Brenda) Hatz and Jeni (Brian) Svestka, Bentley, Caydence, and Grayson, Justin (Jamie) Ikert, Eleanor and Edric, Nick (Gayle) Ikert, Caiden, Charlotte, Chase, and Cambel, Eddie (Kristin) Ikert, Kellen, Addi, and Emmi, Jordan Ikert, Shane (Megan) Ikert, Emma and Ava; special friend, Bernadine Moseley of Tomah.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Edward II; and son, Adam Noble.
Private graveside services will be held. Military honors will be rendered by the Anderson-Good American Legion Post 40 of Bangor and the United States Army Funeral Honor Guard.
