Obituary for Olaf P. "Ole" Mathison, Jr.
Ole was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a friend to many. He had an impressive 42-year career at Northwest Hardwoods. After retirement he could be found working in his meticulously organized shop. He was a jack of all trades. If you had a question, he always had an answer. He could build or fix anything, loved music, playing his drums, and had some amazing dance moves. In his younger years he was in the band Soft Shoulder. Ole enjoyed camping, fishing, going for long country rides and was always up for an ice-cold Bud Light. He loved spending time with family, friends, and caring for his many animals. He was a man of tough love and hard lessons which is what his children will miss the most about him.
He is survived by his loving wife Corinne of 32 years. His children Brandon (Jane), Ole III (Tina), Matt (Jean), Chris (Calista), Joe (Amanda), Lisa (John) Jerome, Sybrina (Abel) Anderson, Ross (Jessica Stingl) and Dominic. His grandchildren Abby, Brandon, Ellie, Devon, Anthony, Hope, Syrrina, Faith, Dylan, Phoenix, Allison, Charlie, Lucas, Nora, Mason, Barret, Henry, Lorelei, Jyllian (due in September) and great granddaughter Olivia. He is also survived by brothers Bob, Bruce (Debbie), Jim, mother-in-law Anita Goldbeck, and many in laws, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his late wife Donna “Evie” Evelyn Mathison. Parents Olaf Sr. and Giovanna “Jean”. Sisters Marlene and Linda. Grandson Montgomery.
