Obituary for Ann A. Johnson

She was born May 13, 1945 to William W. and Vivian (Jones) Austin. She graduated from Bangor High School in 1963 and Western Wisconsin Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting.

On July 27, 1963, Ann was united in marriage to Robert F. Johnson. She worked for the La Crosse County Highway Department for 30+ years.

Ann was a member of the Rockland United Methodist Church for 65 years and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 44 years. She enjoyed reading, music, gardening, traveling, playing softball for the Watson Loggers, couples bowling and spending time with her friends, children and grandchildren. She was a huge Elvis fan and recently visited Graceland.

Ann is survived by her son, Robert (Eduardo Patazca) Johnson of Naperville, Ill; her daughter, Laurie (Christopher) Wunrow of Hayward, WI; her sisters-in-law, Margaret (Herb) Rowan of Sparta and Karen (Richard) Johnson of Holmen; her brother-in-law, Chris Christensen of Rockland; grandchildren, Ryleigh Shay Wunrow, Tula Ann Patazca and Eduardo Robert Patazca; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Johnson; her parents, William and Vivian (Jones) Austin; her in-laws, Floyd and Isabelle (Schroeder) Johnson; and her sister, Noreen (Chris) Christensen.

The visitation will be held Saturday, July 22, from 9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m., at the United Methodist Church, Rockland, WI, with the funeral service following at 11:00. Burial will be at the Leon Cemetery.
