Obituary for Gladys M. Albers
She was born July 12, 1927, in Crawford, NE to Henry and Julie Garnier. On January 21, 1950, Gladys married Harry W. Albers at St. John's Lutheran Church in Barre Mills, WI.
She farmed alongside her husband for several years. Gladys was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion and Halfway Creek 4-H Leader.
She enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling, and being outdoors. Gladys loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include seven children, Diana (Cindy) Albers of Chippewa Falls Wi., Beverly (Robert) Weber of Eau Claire Wi., Karen Albers Barbee of Holmen Wi., Ava (Todd) Grimslid of Holmen Wi., Harry (Sheila) Albers Jr. of Holmen Wi., Judy (Jeff) Nederloe of Chaseburg Wi., and Tammy (Melissa) Albers of Kiel, Wi.; 17 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; one brother, Oliver Garnier; one sister, Elinor Parker; one sister-in-law, Doris Kastenschmidt; one brother-in-law, Gerald Durst; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Sr.; son, Mark; grandson, Eldon Grimslid; great-granddaughter, Madyson E. Barbee; son-in-law, William Barbee; and 7 siblings.
The family would like to thank St Croix Hospice especially RN Sara and her team.
