Obituary for Charles E. Hoff
He was born December 24, 1951, in La Crosse to Lloyd and Irene (Johnson) Hoff. Charlie graduated from Onalaska High School in 1970. He joined the United States Army in 1971, and spent eleven months in Vietnam.
Charlie enjoyed being in the woods, hunting squirrels, rabbits, deer, and turkey. He also enjoyed car racing especially driver, Dick Trickle, watching the Packers and Badgers, throwing horseshoes, fishing, playing golf, and softball. He was an avid gardener and took pride in his lawn. Charlie had a special bond with many friends and family. He was employed at Trane Company and retired after 35 years.
Charlie married Renee Hanson Indahl in 2002. He had two step-sons, Paul and Dale (Tracy) Indahl; two brothers, Lloyd (Carol) and Russ (Jean) Hoff; sister, Darlene and brother-in-law, Terry; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Shirley and Cheryl
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Fredrickson Funeral Homes and Crematory, Jostad Chapel, 121 N. Youlon St., West Salem. Pastor John Ashland will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in the Christ Ev. Lutheran Church Cemetery, Burr Oak. A visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
