Obituary for Troy Ronald Bieze

Troy was born on January 9, 1987, in Ft. Riley, Kansas to Jim and Becky (Olson) Bieze. Troy was raised in the close-knit community of Bangor, Wisconsin. Troy’s journey through life took him to various corners of the country, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.

Troy found solace and adventure in Madison, Wisconsin, where he honed his culinary skills, becoming a celebrated figure in the local food scene. His passion for cooking led him to diverse kitchens in Madison and later the bustling culinary landscape of Denver, Colorado. Chef Troy’s culinary creations were more than just meals; they were expressions of his love for flavors that resonated with the soul.

Troy’s allegiance to his home state was unwavering, and he proudly cheered for the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Milwaukee Bucks. Troy’s enthusiasm for the games was infectious, turning each match into a celebration of camaraderie and shared joy.

Amidst his culinary adventures and sports fervor, Troy remained deeply connected to his roots. His hometown of Bangor was more than a point on the map; it was the source of his resilience and enduring spirit. He was the unofficial “Nighttime Mayor” of Bangor and knew someone everywhere he went.

Troy’s love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life. He was a beloved son, survived by his parents Jim and Becky (Olson) Bieze. Troy’s siblings: Thomas (Courtney) Bieze of Ames IA, Timothy Bieze of Necedah, his sisters- Dawn (Darryn) Havican of La Crosse, Jennifer (John) Wilson and Kathryn (Greg) Guthrie, both of Kenosha cherished the bond they shared with their brother, each memory a testament to the enduring ties that bind family together and will live on to become the stuff of legend for his many, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his sister Dorthy, and his uncle, Jeff.

Troy’s character was a testament to his unwavering authenticity. In a world that often changes with the passing of time, Troy remained true to himself, a man whose essence was defined by the joy he found in good food, sports, street art, hikes in the mountains, and the simple pleasures of life. His warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, leaving a legacy that extends far beyond the boundaries of any single community.

As we remember Troy, let us celebrate the moments of laughter, the shared meals, and the echoes of cheers during sporting events. In honoring his memory, may we also find inspiration to embrace life’s flavors with the same zest that he did.

A visitation will be held Friday, January 12, 2024, beginning at 4:00 p.m., and concluding with a memorial service at 6:00 p.m., at Fredrickson Funeral Homes and Crematory, Bangor Chapel, Hwy 162 and Hattan St., Bangor.

A reception will be held from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Augie's Bar and Grill, 1614 Commercial St., Bangor, all are welcome to attend.
