Obituary for Anatalia Slater
Anatalia "Naty" Acampado Cago-Co Slater, aged 75, from Garcia Hernandez Bohol, Philippines, peacefully passed away at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin, on Monday, January 29, 2024. Preceded in death by her parents, Isabel and Isidro Acampado, and sister Primitiva (Premming) Boldo Cago'co. Anatalia is survived by her sisters Juaning (Iya) Galido and Marcelina (Lina) Acampado her husband, Michael J. Slater (67) and their three children: Michelle Kloss (46), Michael Slater (44), and Karin Slater (41), all residing in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She leaves behind four beloved grandchildren: Elijah, Troyale, Makaylie, and Korey.
Known for her deep love for faith, family, and especially her grandkids, Anatalia was cherished for her passion for dancing and cooking her renowned egg rolls (Lumpia). Her infectious smile and a heart larger than her physical size defined her essence.
A memorial to celebrate Anatalia's life will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish in La Crosse, Wisconsin, located at 2006 Weston St. The visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, with the Funeral Mass following at 10:30. Father Brian Konopa will celebrate the Mass.
