Obituary for Robert "Bob" Elliot
Bob was the oldest child in his birth family and was preceded in death by his sisters Jeanette, Norma, Patty, and Joanne, his adopted brothers Leroy and Irvin (Ardelle) Elliott, and Lois’ brothers Carl, Richard, and Arlen Schomburg. He is survived by his sister Mickey Osgood, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws Barbara Schomburg, Colleen (Laverne) Dunnum, Linda (Dave) Werner, and Gary (Pam) Schomburg, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bob’s interests included going for rides, antiquing, doing projects around the house and garden, telling jokes and stories, and polishing his cars, especially the Studebakers. He didn’t know a stranger.
Bob worked for many years delivering milk door to door, as a bulk milk hauler, managing the La Crosse County Farm, driving trucks for FoxMeyer, and trimming the rough for Fox Hollow Golf Course. He and Lois spent many winters in Apache Junction, AZ, where they made many friends. While in Arizona they made trips to Hawaii, and to see the Rose Bowl Parade in person. Bob and Lois also enjoyed a Caribbean cruise.
Service details are being planned and will be announced at a later date.
