Obituary for Betty J. Kroener
She was born December 18, 1937, in Sparta, to Herbert and Marion (Anderson) Fennigkoh. Growing up in Sparta, Betty was a member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church.
On September 5, 1958, she married James E. Kroener and they shared over 65 years of marriage. Betty worked for many years at Trane Company as a secretary in the purchasing department while also helping out on the farm feeding and milking cows. Betty truly had a giving heart and if there was a way she could help, she would. She was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Bangor. Betty enjoyed baking, bird watching, admiring beautiful flowers, and being an animal lover. She loved all animals but she had a special love for her three cats, Panda, Hershey, and Goldie; they were her little sidekicks.
Survivors include her husband, Jim; son, Dale; brothers, Steve (Sandy) Fennigkoh and Roger (Diane) Fennigkoh; brother-in-law, Sherman Roberts; caretaker and friend, Sherri Schoenfeld; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Anna Marie (Harold) Thill and Donnis Robert; and brothers, Don (Loretta) Fennigkoh and Stanley (Esther) Fennigkoh.
