Obituary for Jerry J. Edberg
He was born May 14, 1937, in La Crosse to Irvin and Alvilde "Fritz" (Evenson) Edberg. After attending high school, Jerry enlisted in the United States Army. From 1955 until 1958, Jerry served in the Army stationed in Germany. He continued to serve in the Army Reserves until 1963. Jerry liked the idea of marriage and was married several times, however, all of them ended in divorce. He also had six children.
Jerry worked for Allis Chalmers, owned his own siding business, and lastly drove a cement truck for Holmen Ready Mix. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, which he did every day, playing pool, and drinking a cold Bud Light.
Jerry will be missed by his nephew, David Edberg of La Crosse, and his big white dog. A visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 12 noon, Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Fredrickson Funeral Home, Jostad Chapel, 121 N. Youlon St., West Salem.
