Obituary for Dennis Richard "Denny" Clements


Dennis Richard “Benny Lou” Clements, 66, of Bangor, passed away November 2, 2024, at UW Hospital in Madison, following a brief illness.

He was born September 6, 1958, in La Crosse, to Norbert and Margaret (Felt) Clements. Denny met Lois Brueggen 40 years ago and they were married December 24, 1996.

He worked as a truck driver hauling milk, driving for Kwik Trip, and Hansen’s IGA. He retired in 2020 from Trane Company where he operated a forklift in the warehouse. Denny was a proud member of the Bangor-Burns Fire Department for many years.

Denny loved traveling, golfing, playing cards; watching NASCAR, the Packers and especially his St. Louis Cardinals. He mostly loved hanging out with his family and many friends who were so important to him.

Survivors include his wife, Lois; sister, Kathy (Jeff) Koltermann; brothers, Cletus Clements and Ken (Tracy) Clements; daughter, Jamie (Joe) Waughtal; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Karen Brueggen, Barb (Gary) VonRuden, Clayton (Sandy) Brueggen, and Janet Gillitzer; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Nub; sister, Barbara; brother, Ron; daughters, Sommer Clements and Carrie Clements; niece, Barbie Koltermann; nephew, Christopher Clements; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Norman and Bernice Brueggen.

A private burial will be held in Fairview Cemetery in Bangor at a later date.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m., until 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Fredrickson Funeral Home, Bangor Chapel, Hwy 162 and Hattan St., Bangor. A celebration of life will follow from 5:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m., at Augie's Bar and Grill in Bangor. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and may be directed to the Bangor-Burns Fire Department or the Bangor First Responders.
