Obituary for Joseph A. Paisley

Joseph Arthur Paisley

April 8, 1952 – November 4, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Paisley, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left us peacefully at home after a long illness on November 4, 2024. He was 72 years old.

Born and raised in Mindoro, WI, Joe spent his life surrounded by the beauty of nature and the love of his family. He was the third of five children born to Doris and Gordon Paisley. His siblings, Barbara Wolfe, Thomas (Mary) Paisley, Michael Paisley and Myra Carolfi survive him. He was married to his devoted wife, Carol, for 48 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with laughter and cherished memories.

Joe was a proud father to Jessica (Patrick Cline) and Daniel (Suzann), and a doting grandfather to his six grandchildren: Jackson, Nathan, Rylan, Charlotte, Lauren, and Kadyn. He found immense joy in watching them grow and thrive, and they were his greatest treasures.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, his brothers-in-law and his infant daughter, April.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Armed Services, Joe dedicated himself to serving his country. He went on to work at the 7-UP Bottling Company, Ho-Chunk Casino, and Swiss Valley Farms where he made lasting friendships and fond memories.

An avid gardener, Joe found great joy intending to his plants. He also cherished his time spent fishing with family and friends, relishing the quiet time with his loved ones. He was often found puttering in his garage, where he enjoyed being able to work out solutions to many problems with his hands. Joe loved playing cards with his friends, sharing stories, and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. He and his family took an annual trip to Rice Lake, WI with their dear friends who became like family and supported each other through decades of life changes. A true character, he delighted in stealing cookies with his grandkids to annoy Carol, bringing laughter and exasperated sighs to their home.

Joe's kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family will be profoundly missed. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched and the countless memories shared.

A service will be held at Mindoro Lutheran Church to honor his life on Tuesday, November 26th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Farmington Cemetery. He and his family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the excellent care he received from Mayo Health System. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Town of Farmington First Responders, Mindoro Lutheran Church or the charity of choice.

Rest in peace, Joe. You will forever be in our hearts.
