Obituary for David D. Olson
David was born November 18, 1965 to Robert (Bob) Sr and Theresa (Brueggeman) Olson Sr. with a severe case of club feet. He would spend summers starting at age 4 until he was 13 in and out the hospital to try and correct his condition. No matter how many times he had casts on his feet it did not slow him down. Grandpa Olson always called him "boomer" and mom called him "Pojoe". David worked as a bartender for the Log Cabin, then as a boiler operator for Websters and finally repaired small engines for Hagen's Sales and Service until he decided it was time to stay home and take care of mom. He enjoyed going hunting with his dad and brother Bob, fishing, playing pool and throwing darts. He also loved to grill and spend time with family around the campfire. He always helped when Dad decided it was time to make Sauerkraut. He would sit and operate the Kraut cutter. Lately his weekends were spent watching the Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers play football or finding a NASCAR race to watch with his mom and sister Mari. David was a kind soul who would lend a helping hand and never complained.
Survivors include mom Theresa, brother Robert Jr "Bob" (Tracy Vassey), sisters Rose (Mark) Zwiefel and Marianne "Mari" Olson, nieces, great nieces and great nephews, aunts, uncles and many cousins.
He was proceeded in death by father Robert (Bob) Olson Sr, grandparents Elmer and Neva Olson, John and Lorraine Brueggeman.
