Obituary for Alex R. Pederson
Alex R. Pederson, 33, of Barre Mills, passed away March 7, 2026, at his home.
Alex was born to Philip and Melissa Pederson on August 30, 1992, and what an entrance he made. Everyone knew when he was around and his favorite place in the world to be was outside. His greatest joy and memories were days in the barn spent with his grandpa, Fred Pederson.
He never lost the passion for farming and animals and throughout high school and college he worked for the Jandt’s, milking at their farm. Alex graduated from West Salem High School in 2011 and enjoyed competing in track and trap shooting. A few years later, he graduated from WTC as a diesel mechanic which tied to his hobby of mudding in anything with an engine.
In 2012, Alex welcomed his beautiful daughter, Emersyn Pederson, and absolutely thrived as a father. As an avid outdoorsman, he loved spending time with her outside and going for tractor rides when pumping for Jostad’s Pumping. He dedicated many years to Crown Cork and Seal in La Crosse.
In 2025, he married Amber Connot and stepped into the role of step-father for Abilene Connot; and as a blended family, they went on many hunting and fishing trips. In 2026, Alex and Amber welcomed their son, Bosephus Pederson. At only days old, he was already in the barn and on the tractor with dad.
Alex left an impact on everyone he met with his huge heart and sense of humor. He was incredibly loved and has left a hole in so many lives; but, will live on in the incredible joy he brought to those around him.
Survivors include his wife, Amber Connot-Pederson; son, Bosephus Fred Pederson; daughter, Emersyn Doris Pederson; step-daughter, Abilene Connot; his parents, Philip and Melissa Pederson; sister and brother-in-law, Alyson Pederson-Pittman and Rob Pittman; grandmother, Rosemary Pederson; nephew, James (on the way); cousin and close friend, Nehemiah Schmitz; former wife and mother of Emersyn, Kaylan Pederson; father-in-law, Howard Olson; mother-in-law, Theresa Striepling; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
